The Variegated Tobira (Pittosporum tobira 'Variegata') is one of the most popular ornamental shrubs for adding brightness to a landscape. It shares the same citrus-scented flowers as the solid green variety but features distinct, multi-colored foliage.
Key Features of the Variegated Variety:
Appearance: The leaves are a soft gray-green or sage green with creamy white or pale yellow irregular margins. This gives the entire shrub a "silvery" or glowing look from a distance.
Brightness: It is excellent for "lighting up" darker corners of a garden or shady spots where solid dark green plants might disappear.
